With the release date of the bands 3rd studio album being pushed back, the band have written and recorded a new EP that should temporarily quench the thirst of Radio Dept. fans the world over.

The confirmed tracklist is:

1. David
2. Messy enough
3. David (Rice Twins remix)
4.The idle urban contemporaries

This will be released on CD. It will be available worldwide through Labrador records
The expected release date is June 24th, 2009.

The Radio Dept. have played their two shows in New York and have received wild praise and acclaim for their performances.
They played a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes of music, but this still wasn't enough for the fans in New York who left the shows yearning for me.

You can read an exciting fan review of the show in the fan blog, where the performance of the band and the passion of the crowds are described vividly.

The gigography section of the site has lots of pictures, videos and even more reviews about the two New York shows.

The Radio Dept. are working on their third, to say the long-awaited, album "Clinging to a scheme" which should be on record and hard drives in autumn 2009. To avoid this long wait the band will release a new single "David" on the 24th June. "David" may contain everything that is good with music, a mixtape on everything you ever liked, modernised and condensed into 3 minutes and 35 seconds. A new world sound.

You can download the mp3 here, for the time being and it's completely free!

The band have begun work on the follow up to 'Pet Grief'. Firm fan favourite, Messy Enough, will finally get recorded in the studio and should eventually feature on either the forthcoming studio album or on an EP/Single.

The title or progress of the new album is still a little hazy, but rest assured it should be ready by next year.

The band may also record something new for another Friendly Noise, tribute to Sarah, compilation album/fanzine.
