At the end of 2002, The Radio Dept. signed to Labrador records and the first order of business was to celebrate the new addition to the Labrador family by releasing a new compilation album.

"The Sound of Young Sweden" is a series of Labrador compilations spanning back to the launch of the label. Each band on the labrador record label has featured on one or more of these compilations at some point in their Labrador career.
Only 2 Radio Dept. songs are included on this particular compilation
